  • A robber named Aṅgulimāla brings terror to villages and towns. He shows no mercy to any living creature, taking a finger from each of his victims to make a necklace for himself. The Buddha, while staying in Śrāvastī, hears of Aṅgulimāla’s mischief, meets him and converts him into a righteous man.
